And like every other nation, we have had and still have a handful of those brave and courageous men and women who have placed their own lives at risk to save their nation. Since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, life has been extremely difficult for those people who were injured in war while they were carrying out their line of duty. They stood for their nation, protected the people and some, and even went to the extent of giving up their very lives to buy the nation freedom.
This is where the Healing Heroes Network comes into the picture. They are a group of medical professionals who have dedicated their lives to living for others. They try their level best to help all the war veterans who are in need of medical attention. They are a group of medical professionals who help all those brave soldiers who were injured with financial and medical care. When we partner and join with organizations like the Healing Heroes Network, we are giving all those war heroes a second shot at life. The Healing Heroes Network has risen up to fill in that cavity and help those veterans who sacrificed their freedom for our freedom.
These professionals or rather, this network, not only help the war victims, but also, their families. These families are in desperate need of financial and emotional assistance. They encourage all kinds of donations. Whether it is corporate giving or in kind- donations, they need it. It is not easy to keep up a charitable organization of this sort without constant flow of funds. The Healing Heroes Network was granted tax-exempted status by the state. . Let us learn to respect the sacrifices that these brave soldiers made. Let us not shun them or look down on them.
